Luisa was going to come also, which is great, but then can't make it (especially after Emma read her journal), so that stinks. And Bo is coming as well, which isn't so great. That subplot is a little more understandable, but still, Emma takes am understandable anxiety, blows it all out of proportion, makes the worst possible choices, and then gets herself in knots over the outcome.īoth plot lines are complicated by the fact that the O'Fallon clan is going camping for the weekend. The other main plot line is Emma's jealousy over her best friend Luisa becoming more friendly with her arch enemy Katie. And what else can she do but set about breaking up Annie and Bo? And what other way could she do that besides making herself a major pest? I dunno, but as a parent I can tell you that kind of behavior would last mere seconds in my house as it would be made abundantly clear that Annie's personal life is just that - personal.

So Emma, naturally, has to do something about it. Annie has been dating Bo and spending her free time with him rather than her family (Emma apparently doesn't quite grasp the concept of "free time", at least as it applies to anyone else - I'm sure she understands it in relation to herself just fine). In this episode, Emma is entitled to sole possession of both Annie, the relatively new nanny, and her best friend Luisa. Emma is very likely the most self-centered and entitled "heroines" you may ever run across.
